Photo Tips
Here are some suggestions from our professional, Sarah, to photograph your pet for your pet portrait:
-
Eye Level: Photograph your pet at eye level.
-
Up Close: Try to get a close-up of your pet so we can see all of its distinct features and personality with more detail. The best outcomes come from a head-to-chest capture.
-
Eye Contact: Capturing your pet when he/she is gazing at the camera or away from the camera is perfectly fine.
-
Posture: Photograph your pet while he or she is sitting or standing, not lying down.
-
Lighting: The best images are always taken in natural daylight outside. Most importantly, stay away from harsh lighting and avoid capturing body shadows and intense background light when photographing your pet.
-
Crop: Upload an uncropped photo in which no body parts are out of the frame of the photo.
-
Low Resolution: Please avoid uploading blurred photos, screenshots, or images downloaded from social media.
Note: We make every effort to follow any special detail instructions included in orders, but we cannot guarantee it. For example, we cannot remove a collar or a bandana from a photograph into the drawing, but we can make minor modifications, such as erasing spots, red-eye, and so on.
